Connect your ERP to Afakto by API

If your ERP provides an API, Afakto can connect to it and sync your buyers and receivables automatically.

Afakto connects natively to ERPs such as Odoo or Pennylane. If your company uses another ERP, a connection by API is also possible, as long as your ERP provides an API that gives access to your accounting data.

How it works

Afakto connects to your ERP API and retrieves the data needed for your factoring program:

Data

Content

Buyers

Your customers, with their identifiers and addresses

Receivables

Open invoices, credit notes and other open items

Client journal

Cleared items, with the clearing code that matches invoices with payments received

The expected content of each dataset is detailed in ERP data requirements.

Check your ERP capabilities

Before starting, ask your ERP provider or integrator to confirm the following points.

API integration

  • Does your ERP support API access to customer and accounts receivable data?

  • Can this API be used by a third-party platform such as Afakto?

  • What authentication mechanism does the API offer? Ideally OAuth 2.0, but other methods (API key, token, username and password) can be considered.

  • Where is the API documentation available?

Data exports

  • Can your ERP provide the buyers, receivables and client journal data, including the clearing codes?

  • Can this data be retrieved automatically, without manual action?

Next steps

Send the answers from your ERP provider, together with the API documentation, to your Afakto implementation team. The team reviews the API and confirms the integration approach with you.

If your ERP does not provide an API, your data can be sent as files. See Automated file transfer: sFTP and API and Manual data import.
